Adding even more anticipation to their arrival, the F-150 Lightning has even more power and range than initially announced, making it even more of an amazing deal. The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning has also entered full production, and is starting to arrive at dealerships nationwide, like Brattleboro Ford.

As part of the additional power and range announcement, the extended-range battery pack F-150 Lightning now produces 580 horsepower, and the standard-range pack delivers 452 horsepower. These figures are both up from the originally promised numbers when the F-150 Lightning was announced. Both battery packs also produce an impressive 775 lb-ft of torque, which is more than any other F-150 in the model’s history.

The additional power from the battery pack allowed Ford to increase the payload capacity of the 2023 F-150 Lightning as well. It is now up 235 pounds for a total of 2,235 pounds of maximum hauling capacity. The extended-range battery pack also has longer range than initially promised, with an additional 20 miles and up to 320 total miles of EPA estimated range.

A starting price under $40,000 makes the F-150 Lightning one of the best deals in the new electric pickup truck segment. It costs thousands of dollars less than the competition while still offering competitive range, power, and features, in addition to the support of one of the largest dealership networks in the world.
