2024 Fords Ranger Raptor - Brattleboro Ford

Brattleboro Ford shares the latest inside details

Ford’s Ranger Raptor: Ford is set to launch an all-new version of its Ranger pickup, which includes a high-performance Raptor version of the midsize truck. Brattleboro Ford has learned some inside details about the truck, which we’re excited to share with you.

Engine and Power

The Ranger Raptor is expected to share the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost engine that Ford currently offers in the Bronco Raptor SUV. This engine will give the pickup plenty of power, with an estimated output of at least 392 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The truck will come equipped with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, and it will be available in an off-road-ready four-wheel-drive configuration.

Traction and Control

To enhance the truck’s traction and handling capabilities, the Ranger Raptor will feature electronically locking front and rear differentials. It will also have a variety of digitally controlled features meant to enhance traction, including Trail Control, which is Ford’s combined hill climb and descent system. This system essentially acts as an off-road cruise control, allowing for smoother handling in challenging terrain.

Additional Features

The Ranger Raptor will come with several features borrowed from the original F-150 and Bronco Raptor models. These features include Turn Assist, which locks up one of the rear brakes to make tight turns, One-Pedal driving, which allows for smoother throttle control, and a rotary knob on the center console that can switch between a variety of different drive modes, such as “Mud and Ruts” and “Rock Crawl.”

Size and Ground Clearance

The Raptor is based on an all-new version of the Ford Ranger that is expected to be slightly larger than the outgoing model. The Ranger Raptor version will be bigger and brawnier, while also offering more ground clearance than more conventional trim packages. The truck is also said to introduce the new “Bottom-Out Control” system, which maximizes damping during the final 25% of shock travel. And the drivetrain is protected by thick new skid plates to prevent damage.

Interior and Technology

The Ranger Raptor’s interior will be all-new and is expected to come equipped with high-tech features, including twin digital displays, the latest version of the Sync infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a WiFi hotspot. The truck will also have more heavily bolstered seats and more rugged and easily cleaned fabrics and materials. It may even come with one or more cameras to assist with off-road driving.

Pricing and Availability

The official release of the 2024 Ranger Raptor will be announced by Ford on May 10. Brattleboro Ford is hoping to find out more about pricing and when the pickup truck will be available in the US. It is expected to hit showrooms during the second half of this year.
